I built this webpage as a sort of accountability tool. So much in life is lost due to laziness and inaction, and I find myself guilty of this all too often. Of course doubting oneself and the fear of failure are natural emotions, and all too common when attempting something novel and/or risky. However, I can attest that many of my fondest memories and greatest achievements have stemmed from branching out into the unknown, taking risks, and just letting go. Fight Club quote incoming!
“It’s only after we have lost everything, that we are free to do anything.”
Now the above quote is quite extreme, and I certainly do not intend on losing everything. However, our aversion of risk and consequently our fear of losing, beats us into conformity and spoon feeds us a gelatonous mixture of status quo.
“This is your life and it’s ending one minute at a time.”
One compelling case for taking on more risk is that our time on this giant rock is limited. We cower away in our comfort zones to prolong our life, when in actuality we should be out and about maximizing our life. The winner in life is not he who lives the longest but he who has the most scars, the most stories, and the most memories.
As such, this is my commitment to achieving more in life. To overcoming laziness and fear.
